NEW STUDENTS: We welcome new students always! (For classes requiring previous experience, please contact us for placement.)
By registering for classes you are acknowledging you will abide by all guidelines listed in the Ballet Wooster Handbook which can be found on the Ballet Wooster website.
CURRENT STUDENTS: Please register for your current level unless instructed otherwise by the Artistic Director

SAVE 10% WITH MULITPLE STUDENTS AND CLASSES
Your family can save 10% when multiple students are registered for our variety of classes offered this fall! The student with the highest tuition pays the full amount, and then each additional family member gets 10% off. This discount will be taken off after any other discounts. In addition, extra sessions will receive 10% off.

Dance with Me! [18 months -3yos]
Description: Come dance together! Through movement and music exploration, students will develop motor and social skills in a fun, friendly, and encouraging environment. As co-participants, this class pairs the young child and parent/caregiver. Our instructor will facilitate all movement as the adult takes an active role in supporting the little dancer!
Dress Code: Children should wear comfortable clothing that allows a full range of movement. We as that all students have dancewear that provides full coverage as dance movement can alter the fit of leotards during class. If necessary, an added pair shorts that provide full coverage can be worn. Hair should be pulled back securely and off the face. Ballet tutus, skirts, legwarmers, and jewelry are distracting to the student, and are not permitted.
Creative Movement [3-4yos]
No previous experience required. Must be potty trained.
A joyful introduction to movement through music and rhythms in a class structure. Students will develop physical skills and stimulate their imaginations.
Dress Code:
Children should wear comfortable clothing that allows a full range of movement. We as that all students have dancewear that provides full coverage as dance movement can alter the fit of leotards during class. If necessary, an added pair shorts that provide full coverage can be worn. Hair should be pulled back securely and off the face. Ballet tutus, skirts, legwarmers, and jewelry are distracting to the student, and are not permitted.
Pre Ballet 1 [4-5yos]
No previous dance experience required.
Introduction to ballet with careful attention given to the mastery of basic locomotive movements, rhythm, and muscular strength through creative and fun activities.
Dress Code:
Girls: plain black leotard (no embellishment or attached skirts), pink footed tights, pink ballet shoes with elastics sewn and strings tucked in. No ballet skirts, sweaters, or leg warmers please. Hair must be pulled back off face and tightly secured (ponytail or ballet bun). No jewelry other than small stud earrings is permitted.
Boys: Black tights, plain white T-shirt, white socks, white ballet shoes with elastics sewn.
Pre Ballet 2 [5-6yos]
Must have completed at least two semesters of Pre-Ballet I, or by placement by instructor.
Continuing study of ballet through fundamental movement and classical steps. Careful attention is given to the mastery of basic locomotive movements, rhythm, and student’s strength and flexibility.
Dress Code:
Girls: plain black leotard (no embellishment or attached skirts), pink footed tights, pink ballet shoes with elastics sewn and strings tucked in. No ballet skirts, sweaters, or leg warmers please. Hair must be pulled back off face and tightly secured (ponytail or ballet bun). No jewelry other than small stud earrings is permitted.
Boys: Black tights, plain white T-shirt, white socks, white ballet shoes with elastics sewn.
Elementary I – III [6+ and up]
Levels assigned by faculty. Contact balletwooster.org for placement.
Introduction and continuation of formal ballet class with emphasis on theory, terminology, postural alignment, and rhythmic awareness.
Dress Code:
Girls: plain black leotard (no embellishment or attached skirts), pink footed tights, pink ballet shoes with elastics sewn and strings tucked in. Absolutely ballet skirts, sweaters, or leg warmers please. Hair must be pulled back off face and tightly secured in a ballet bun. No jewelry other than small stud earrings is permitted.
Boys: Black tights, plain white T-shirt, white socks, white ballet shoes with elastics sewn.
Elementary IV [8+]

Continuation of formal ballet class with emphasis on theory, terminology, postural alignment, and rhythmic awareness.

Continuation of formal ballet class with emphasis on theory, terminology, postural alignment, and rhythmic awareness. Classes include thorough explanation of technique was well as pre-pointe work as preparation for entrance into Company.

Girls: plain black leotard (no embellishment or attached skirts), pink footed tights, pink ballet shoes with elastics sewn and strings tucked in. No ballet skirts, sweaters, or leg warmers please. Hair must be pulled back off face and tightly secured in a ballet bun. No jewelry other than small stud earrings is permitted.

Ballet Wooster’s Pre-Professional Company [11+]

Recreational Classes:
Teen/Adult Ballet [12+]
Description: No experience required. A perfect opportunity for adults and teens to begin ballet or for those who wish to return to the studio. Classes will emphasize the joy of movement while working on flexibility, strength, balance and grace.
Dress Code for Adult Ballet:
Ballet shoes (leather or canvas), any style leotard and pink or black tights (dance skirts optional), OR comfortable clothes to move in such as yoga pants and a T-shirt. Please pull your hair out of your face and avoid clothing with bright graphics or words. Our goal is for you to feel comfortable and able to move freely without distractions.
Introduction to Ballet [6-12yos]
No experience required. A perfect opportunity for older students to begin ballet or for those who wish to return to the studio and join regular classes in the fall. Classes will emphasize the joy of movement while working on flexibility, strength, balance and grace.
Girls: plain black leotard (no embellishment or attached skirts), pink footed tights, pink ballet shoes with elastics sewn and strings tucked in. No ballet skirts, sweaters, or leg warmers please. Hair must be pulled back off face and tightly secured in a ballet bun. No jewelry other than small stud earrings is permitted.

Dance Fitness [12 and up]
This class is a full body workout that gets the heart pumping and muscles moving! Enjoy dancing it out while concentrating on postural awareness, core stability, and increasing strength. For fitness enthusiasts of all levels!
Dress Code: Tennis shoes and comfortable clothes to move in such as yoga pants and a T-shirt. Our goal is for you to feel comfortable and able to move freely. If you own a yoga mat, feel free to bring it!
